地元の資源を使って「稼げる地域」をつくる！ 〜地域商社の可能性〜
Sustainable Japan Network（代表：末松弥奈子 株式会社ジャパンタイムズ 代表取締役会長兼社長）は、2022年8月2日に「第25回 Japan Times Satoyama カフェ」をオンラインで開催いたします。地方創生の呼び声もあって、全国的に地域商社の設立がブームになっています。観光DMOのように補助金の受け皿となることを目的とした団体ではないため、設立の形態も目的も多種多様で、自治体が一切出資していない株式会社もあれば、一般社団法人のような公的側面を強く押し出す団体もあります。その中で、共通しているのが、「地域の資源を使う」ということと「自立して稼ぐ」ことを目的としていること。とはいえ、この目的達成のためには多くのハードルがあります。例えば、自治体からの派遣職員が感じる行政と民間との商習慣の違い、自治体首長の思いと民間組織運営の齟齬、地域おこし協力隊等の活用活躍の悲喜交々などに、どの地域商社も直面することになります。それらのハードルをどう乗り越えるのか、また運営側から見えている課題は何か、フロントランナーのニセコと南小国を舞台に活躍するプレーヤーに語っていた
